I know I am being such a stereotypical blogger by loving autumn but I cant help it! I love it! I love it! I love it!
Yes photos get considerable more difficult to take (although I did order lights to help out) and yes I feel like I might get frostbite every time I attempt stepping outside (layering is key people) but other than that autumn is pretty awesome and gives me an excuse to write a list post which is an added bonus.
I really wanted to post more through autumn but sadly my phone camera is being really weird and I wont have a camera until next month (sigh) so bare with lack of content and also sadly I have to use stock photos (although they are very beautiful and this one is from here!)
So anyway here are 9 of the best things about autumn!
I have been searching the internet for a pumpkin farm but sadly living near literally nothing means there isn’t one close by. So being rational I am travelling 3 hours to get one. I love pumpkins mostly because not only can you carve them you can also make food from them so they basically combine two of my favourite things; food and interiors.
JUMPERS, SOCKS, SCARVES AND ALL THE FLUFFY CLOTHES-
So many jumpers and so little money to buy them all. Is there anything better than the satisfaction of being able to wear 10 layers and not sweat even a little bit.
CANDLES, SO MANY CANDLES!-
I think they might be a candle for everything. I found pumpkin pie, spice latte, autumn leaves (whatever that smells like) and caramel swirl scented ones so far and if Bath & Body Works had UK shipping you can guarantee I would have already brought all of them.
I am not the worlds best baker but I make a mean flap jack and my cupcake game is strong. Autumn is probably the best time of year to bake and Ill tell you exactly why if you turn to the next item on my list…
NOT CARING ABOUT EATING ALL THE FOOD YOU JUST BAKED-
In summer all I see on Instagram is pictures of smoothie bowls and various forms of chia jars and that is all fine a good but autumn is when we throw all the stupid fad diets out the window and eat to our hearts content (ok I do that all year but still.)
ALL THE INSTAGRAM OPPORTUNITIES-
Pumpkin patches, fairy lights, my boots in a big pile of leaves! What do all these things have in common you ask? Well they will likely grace every single instagram feed this season because they are just so aesthetically pleasing.
BEING ABLE TO WATCH CHRISTMAS FILMS AND NOT GET JUDGED-
I know that is technically a November/December thing but I am a rule breaker (living wild over here) and autumn is the time to start watching for me.
I do not love love Halloween but I love one thing about it (please go to my final point.)
ALL THE HALLOWEEN CANDY YOU WILL INEVITABLY EAT-
Every year I buy Halloween candy and every year about 2 or 3 people actually find my house (usually teens who ask for money and for some reason choose to visit the day before- Halloween is the 31st!) So every year we have a big bowl of sweets waiting to be eaten and every year I happily volunteer.
